  • Navigate to Twilio: Open the Twilio dashboard to begin.

  • Access Phone Numbers: On the left sidebar, click "Phone Numbers."

  • Click 'Manage': Select "Manage" under the Phone Numbers section.

  • Purchase a Number: Click "Buy a number" to proceed with purchasing.

  • Select the Country: Choose the country for your number.

  • Select Capabilities: Choose the capabilities your number should have, such as Voice, SMS, MMS, and Fax.

  • Search for Area Codes: You can search for specific area codes or digits.

  • Recommendation: It's recommended to select a number with your local area code to improve answer rates, but availability is not guaranteed.

  • Advanced Search: Optionally use advanced search settings to filter your results.

  • Choose a Number: Browse through the available numbers and select your preferred one.

  • Skip Toll-Free Options: These are not recommended, and each number costs $1.15/month.

  • Review the Number: Ensure that you’ve selected the right number and check for any additional requirements like A2P registration for text capabilities.

  • Emergency Terms: If applicable, read and agree to emergency calling terms.

  • Final Confirmation: Check the "I agree to comply" box after reading the terms.
