SMS Information & FAQs
Turn every closed-lost text thread into a live conversation. AI-powered two-way SMS, built into the same workflows and agents you already use for voice.
What it does
- Adds an AI SMS step to the workflows you already build — no new tooling to learn.
- Your agent holds a real two-way text conversation with a lead or customer, and can book meetings directly onto your calendar.
- You control persistence: how quickly the agent follows up, and how many times it re-engages if a contact goes quiet.
- Conversations route automatically based on outcome — conversation only, meeting booked, no response, or do not contact.
- Every message is logged with a full transcript and AI summary, right alongside that contact's call history.
Built-in compliance
-
Consent message
Sent automatically on every conversation — it can't be edited or removed.
-
Opt-in enforced
No message goes out without it.
-
STOP honored automatically
Replies of STOP, and any contact marked Do Not Contact, are respected by the product — no manual tracking required.
What a conversation looks like
A simplified example — your agent's tone and script are configurable.
Agent: Hi Ann, this is following up on your inquiry — want me to send over some times to chat this week?
Contact: Maybe. What times do you have?
Agent: I have Tuesday 2pm or Wednesday 10am — either work?
Contact: Yes, Tuesday at 2pm works great. Book it.
The meeting is booked automatically, and the full thread is saved to the contact's activity log.
Connects to your CRM or other systems
Point a webhook URL at your agent, and we'll automatically send the conversation data — the outcome, the full transcript, and the contact's details — to that URL as soon as a text conversation ends. It's the same idea as the webhook already available for calls, just for SMS.
Getting started
Business SMS requires a one-time carrier registration for your brand and campaign. Once your account team submits it, approval typically takes 10–14 days. There's nothing further needed on your end while it's in review — as soon as it's approved, your account team will enable SMS and let you know it's live.

Frequently asked questions
Is texting my prospects and customers risky?
No — consent is sent automatically at the start of every conversation, opt-in is enforced before any message goes out, and STOP replies are honored automatically. There's no manual tracking required on your end.
Why does registration take two weeks?
Carrier registration is a standard legal requirement for business texting — it's not specific to us. We handle the filing on your behalf, so there's nothing you need to do while it's in review.
Can someone on my team jump into a conversation while it's happening?
Not yet — live human takeover mid-conversation is on our roadmap. In the meantime, the full transcript and an AI summary are always available in your activity log, so nothing is hidden.
Can I use this outside the US and Canada?
AI SMS currently supports phone numbers in the US and Canada only.
