SMS Brand & Campaign Registration: What You Need to Know
Before your SalesAi SMS agent can start texting, U.S. mobile carriers require businesses to complete a one-time Brand & Campaign registration through The Campaign Registry (TCR). This process helps carriers reduce spam, verify legitimate businesses, and confirm that customers have properly consented to receive text messages.
Brand registration verifies who is sending the messages, including your legal business name, address, EIN, website, and contact information. Campaign registration explains what you’ll be texting about, includes sample messages, and shows how recipients opted in to receive SMS communication. Once both are approved, your number can begin sending messages through SalesAi.
To make registration as smooth as possible, have these items ready: your legal company name, business address, EIN, website, business contact information, texting use case and sample messages, proof of SMS opt-in, and links to your Privacy Policy and Terms. Explicit SMS consent is especially important—general Terms & Conditions are not enough, and your Privacy Policy should not state that customer data is sold to third parties.
SalesAi handles the registration process on your behalf. Your CSM will review your information, submit your Brand and Campaign, monitor carrier approval, and help address any follow-up questions. Brand approval can take anywhere from minutes to one day, while Campaign approval typically takes 1–5 business days, though additional review can extend that timeline.
The fastest path to approval is simple: have all required information ready, make sure your SMS opt-in language is live and easy to find, and use clear sample messages that explain who is texting and why. Once approved, your SalesAi SMS agent is ready to go live.
