What this does

Enabling voicemail lets your Ai agent leave a short, natural message when a contact does not answer. This helps keep outreach consistent and professional, encourages callbacks, and lets you test which messages drive engagement.

Key notes before you start

  • Voicemail is only available for Outbound Agents.

  • Best practice: leave a voicemail after the 2nd or 3rd outreach attempt, not after every attempt.

  • Personalization limitation: you cannot insert custom fields (like first name, last name, etc.) into the voicemail message right now.

  • Every contact tied to that agent will hear the same voicemail, so keep it standard.


Walkthrough steps

1) Open Ai Voice

  1. Log into SalesAi.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Ai Voice.

2) Open your Agents list

  1. Click Agents (under the Ai Voice section).

3) Create or edit an agent

  1. Choose one:

    • Create a new agent, or

    • Edit an existing agent by clicking the three dots on the agent card and selecting Edit.

4) Go to Step 3: Call Flow

  1. In the agent builder, complete Step 1 and Step 2 first.

  2. Navigate to Step 3: Call Flow (this is where voicemail lives).

  3. Scroll to the section labeled Enable voicemail message.

5) Turn voicemail on and add your message

  1. Toggle Enable voicemail message to ON.

  2. In the Voicemail Message box, type the message you want the agent to leave.

6) Save

  1. Proceed to finalize the agent and Save.
