Customizing Agent Configuration

This guide provides a step-by-step approach to configuring agents for handling customer interactions effectively. It covers essential settings that influence speech speed, response time, and voice clarity, ensuring optimal performance tailored to user needs.

Walkthrough steps

1) Navigate to Agents

  1. Log into SalesAi.

  2. In the left-hand navigation, click the drop-down arrow next to Ai Voice.

  3. Click Agents.


2) Create a new agent or edit an existing agent

  1. Choose one:

    • New agent: click Create Agent (top right).

    • Existing agent: click the three dots on the agent card and select Edit.

  2. Select Inbound or Outbound, then click Next.


3) Configure basic agent details

  1. Enter your agent name, select a phone number, and choose the language.

    • To use a phone number, it must be purchased in Twilio and not already assigned to another Outbound Agent.

  2. Scroll and select the agent’s voice.

    • You can adjust your agent’s voice settings. However, if you choose not to set them, SalesAi will automatically apply the default settings.

4) Open Advanced Voice Settings

  1. Click the drop-down arrow next to Advanced Voice Settings to expand the sliders.

    • Available settings may vary depending on the agent.


5) Adjust each slider (with defaults + what it changes)

  • Speed

    • Adjusts how fast the agent speaks.

    • Below 1.0 slows the agent down; above 1.0 speeds it up.

    • Default: 1.14

  • No-Response Timeout

    • Controls how long the agent waits before handling “no response.”

    • Default: 15 seconds

  • Stability

    • Balances personality vs. consistency.

    • Lower values can sound more expressive but may be less stable.

    • Higher values are more consistent but may sound monotone.

    • Default: 0.5

  • Voice Consistency

    • Improves clarity and consistency.

    • Setting it too high can create audio artifacts.

    • Default: 0.75

  • Creativity

    • Controls how closely the agent sticks to the prompt.

    • Higher values can deviate more from the prompt; lower values follow the prompt more tightly.

    • Default: 2


6) Continue building the agent

  • When finished, click Next and continue building your agent.
